Multi-award winnig director Shinya Tsukamoto is a highly talented filmmaker, who is known for making his movies with an uncompromising eye and stunning artistic virtuosity. Ever since breaking onto the scene with his experimental TETSUO films in the late 1980s and early 90s, Tsukamoto has not forsaken his motto of film as art. His best achievement may be the psycho thriller drama TOKYO FIST (1995). He also frequently appears as an actor in movies of other cult directors like Takashi Miike or Takashi Shimizu.
