Compilation of two cute animated shorts marks another collaboration of Hayao Miyazaki (writer) and Isao Takahata (director) after their work for the LUPIN III TV series. The first of the two shorts introduces a little girl whose grandmother goes away for a few days, leaving her alone in the house. She is visited by a Panda bear baby and his father, who turn out to be fugitives from a zoo. Intended for small children, who will find this very cute and funny. The second short, released in 1973 and titled PANDA KOPANDA AMEFURI SAKASU NO MAKI, continues the girl's adventures with the Panda bears and is superior to the first, as Miyazaki's creative genius is given full reign. Our protagonists are joined by a tiger baby from a circus and are surprised by a monstrous flood. Yoshifumi Kondo (MIMI WO SUMASEBA) was among the crew. English titles: PANDA!
